Liam Covill is a former athlete who is used to playing as hard as he works. Though he comes from money, he has earned his fair share and doesn’t like to rely on his father, Walter Covill, for support. Being an only child, he was always closer to his mother, Annabeth Covill, and that didn’t change as he got older. Unfortunately an accident took place when Liam was 19 which affected him severely.
Wracked with guilt about his involvement Liam fell into depression. After he barely managed to graduate college, he began a lifestyle of partying, drinking, and sex. No matter how much he tried, he couldn’t escape the pain of what happened. Guilt turned to anger, and after several run-ins with the law, Liam eventually sought help. Once he got clean, he started work as a personal trainer and eventually started working for himself. However, he didn’t give up his bad boy ways entirely. Women were still an escape for him, and he enjoyed hooking up with his clients from time to time. Now 29 years-old, Liam has been sober for five years. However, a dislocated shoulder forces him to close his business until he can recover completely. Although there has been friction between them for years, Walter reaches out to his son asking for his help. His security firm, Covill Security Detail, is short-staffed, and he has a special assignment that needs attending to immediately. Reluctantly, Liam reluctantly agrees to help his father this one time. Liam has medium brown skin, he is tall and muscular, and has still managed to stay in shape, despite his injury. His hair is black and kept short on the sides but a little longer on top, and his eyes are black. He can come across as sharp, but it’s only because he believes in honesty. As a trainer, he learned not to coddle people and it’s carried over into his everyday life. Connecting with people is easy for him, it’s the communication that’s difficult.

Mia Birch is a former gymnast who injured her back several years ago. She became involved in gymnastics at age 3, and quickly found she had a talent and passion for it. Her parents, Nathan & Laura Birch, were very supportive of their youngest daughter, though not pushy. As Mia got older, her passion grew, she set her sights on trying out for the Olympic team. Unfortunately, at age 21, a severe back injury ended what would have been an exciting career. Devastated, Mia moved back home with her parents and withdrew from her friends and family.
She took a few college courses, but nothing seemed to stick with her as much as gymnastics had. Eventually, she met a young man named Kenneth “Ken” Bolton, and the two began dating. But, their relationship was rocky from the beginning, and Ken often took advantage of Mia’s kindness. He also began showing up unexpectedly when she was with her friends or family, almost as if he was checking to make sure she was where she said she was. After a year, and at the request of her two older sisters Sarah & Monica, she broke the relationship off with Ken. For the first time in months, she felt like she could breath again, and she slowly started to get her life back together. Shortly after, she took a job as an intern for Covill Security Detail. Her father has been long-time friends with Walter Covill, and was able to use his connections to find her the job. Mia was doubtful at first, but found she actually enjoyed the work. At 23 years-old, Mia still has a lot to learn about life. Quiet and to herself, she is tall and slender, with dark brown skin, long braided hair and large brown eyes. Her interests include anything creative and she can usually be found sketching away in her sketchbook, or writing down notes in her journal. Do not take her quiet demeanor for weakness, however. Mia is stubborn when she wants to be, though she tends to keep it to herself. |
